Neon Cowboy is Open for Business at Logan & Alameda

When I wrote about Neon Cowboy café last summer, the space at 300 S Logan Street was still a work in progress—full of promise, concept imagery, and ideas about what it could become. The café and bar officially opened on November 20, 2025, less than 90 days after the ten-year lease was signed. Today, I’m pleased to report it seems to be working for the West Wash Park neighborhood.

The corner space, formerly Molecule Effect, feels confident and intentional. Natural light fills the room; the bar and interior use warm materials; and the layout suits quick coffee, long lunches, or impromptu meetings that turn into cocktails. The patio is ready for spring, and the interior glow is inviting at night.

Located a few blocks from our office, Neon Cowboy is now part of my routine—a favorite for a quick bite, hosting clients, or enjoying my preferred cup of matcha.

What stands out most is how naturally the space fits into West Wash Park. It doesn’t feel like a “new concept” trying to announce itself. It feels like it’s always belonged here, comfortable, well-executed, and genuinely neighborhood-serving.

Seeing a project move from lease execution to tenant improvements to real daily use is one of the most satisfying aspects of this work. Neon Cowboy is a great example of what happens when a strong concept, the right location, and careful design come together.

If you haven’t been by yet, it’s worth a visit.
